Day 1 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Arrival in Kigali

On your arrival at the Airport your safari guide will pick you and drive you to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Kigali City Tour

You will have an early morning breakfast and then go for a Kigali city tour. You will visit different craft, centers, Genocide memorial Site, Museum and so many others depending on your time of arrival. You will then transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. You will have your dinner and overnight at the lodge of your choice.

Day 3 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Gorilla tracking

You will have your breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters at 8:00am for briefing about the gorilla tracking experience. You will then head to the forest to look for the gorillas and the park rangers will be there to help you through. You will spend one hour with the gorillas as you see how they feed, play, behave and also get the chance to have their photographs. You will your dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will have breakfast and then transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is 236km and it takes 7 hours. You will have your dinner and overnight at the lodge of your choice.

Day 5 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Gorilla tracking

You will have briefing at the park headquarters after breakfast about the gorilla tracking activity. You will head to the forests to look out for the gorillas with the help of the game rangers who will pave you way and scare away the wild animals. You will have to carry packed lunch and water. You will have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, boat cruise

You will have breakfast and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is 150km and it takes 5 hours. You will have lunch at the lodge then in the afternoon enjoy the Boat cruise at Kazinga channel. Here you may see crocodiles, hippos, birds, some animals like the buffaloes, giraffes, elephants that may be taking a sip of water. You will have your dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Game drive, chimp tracking

Early in the morning, you will get to the forest for a game drive where you will catch up with the morning risers like the buffaloes, chimpanzees, zebras, giraffes, baboons, elephants, lions and much more. You will come back at the lodge for a late breakfast and lunch. You will then go for an afternoon chimp trekking in kyambura gorge where you will enjoy the presence of the shy primates as you see how they eat, play, and have some photo shoots. You will have dinner and overnight at the same lodge.

Day 8 of the 8 Days Gorilla Trekking Safari Uganda Rwanda Culture & Chimpanzee Tracking Tour: Back to Kigali

You will have breakfast and then drive to Ishasha sector to enjoy the tree climbing lions for a short time. You will then head to Kigali to have your flight back. From Ishasha to Kigali it is 287km and it takes around 6 hours.

Clouds Mountain Gorilla lodge is located near the tail head where Nkuringo family gorilla tracking takes place. This is a luxury lodge with 8 cottages and very good facilities given to the tourists. These have double rooms and twin beds with clean cotton sheets and confortable warm duvets. There are private chairs outside the cottages where you can sit and have good views of the bwindi forest, virunga, Rwanda, botanical gardens and others.

Gorilla Mist Camp

This camp is not big size but however comfortable. It has 4 thatched roof African cottages having balconies. The rooms have electricity, hot and cold showers and clean facilities offered to tourists while on their safaris in Uganda. The camp caters for luxury, midrange and budget tourists.
